Winter's Not Done Yet

With one last desperation shot, winter is trying to get the last word this weekend.

An area of low pressure is wreaking havoc on Colorado as I type, causing blizzard-like conditions. I saw on the news this morning a major pile up on a busy highway. Quite a storm they are contending with. This low pressure system is expected to travel SE through Texas and take a turn to the NE through southern MO.

The NWS office in St. Louis did it again...another wonderful addition to their website is a Multimedia Weather Briefing. It is currently in its experimental stages, but I have hopes that they will keep it on. Click HERE for the briefing.

As of 7:00 a.m. Friday, here is the projected snowfall amounts:

And a synopsis of the event...

I gave the weatherman on Fox 2 lots of dirty looks last night because of this snow in the forecast. So then last night I had a dream that I got snowed in by about 2 feet of snow!! LOL I guess that's what I get.

I'm ready for summer! Bring on the heat advisories! :)

I hope you have had a good week at school. Hope to see you soon!!! ((hugs))

WxWatcher, this is exciting news. I've been watching the GFS and it seems we're in store for an active pattern thru next week. FUN!

You know I'll be watching this storm progress. I am very interested on how it will affect your abode. Keep us updated, eh?!

BTW - I checked out the new Multimedia Weather Briefing on the NWS site... I LOVE IT!! I filled out the survey about it and told them I hope they keep it. I'm sure they will since I said that. :) j/k

I'll try to call you later to see how your weather is panning out. We have received a lot of rain overnight and this morning. Wish I had my gauge up.

OSNW3 ~ I know!! I keep talking about doing it - maybe this weekend I'll find a good place for it and actually put it out.
