February Water Report

February precipitation can be summed up this way: All liquid.

Although we did have a trace or two end up on our sidewalks, we didn't experience a single measurable snow. Here's the recap and a comparison with last year at this station.

2009 / 2008

Total Precip: 2.68" / 4.50"
Snowfall: 0.0" / 5.9"
Days with Measurable Precipitation: 4 / 14
Days with Measureable Snowfall: 0 / 6
Days with Snow on Ground: 0 / 6

I love seeing your comparisons to last year. Wish I had my stuff together so I could compare with you.

I am most definitely looking forward to the warmer weather this week!! Maybe it will stay???

Not likely unfortunately, Ami. I was watching Jeff Huffman this morning on ch. 17. There is supposed to be another arctic air mass spill down into the lower 48 next week :( Sorry! (but maybe we'll get lucky and get a good snow out of it!)

WxWatcher, Feb 2008 was much wetter and presumably more active than this Feb, eh?! Great comparisons! I am looking forward to my weekend in STL as the temps down by you all will be toasty! It'll be the first time my daughter has felt temps in the 60's since the first three days she was home from the hospital. Nov 4-6, 2008 max temps were in the upper 60's low 70's. It was crazy. :)

... I think I will move to Australia. LOL Remember that book? The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.

I don't know why, but when you mentioned the cold weather coming back, I thought of that.

OH!! It was "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day"

I need to buy that one for my children.

LOL, unfortunately, no Ami. I don't remember much about our childhood. (I think I was hit in the head a little too much) :o) I do remember our "Sun" song, though.

LOL Me too! I remember almost the whole song.

Find that book - you'll remember it as soon as you see it.
